Greed?

(taken from newsletter 2012-09-21)

When a captive dolphin can be worth as much as $250,000, and Taiji, Japan is ground zero for the international trade in captive dolphins, there is no way the local fishermen in Taiji can convince us they are catching whales and dolphins for tradition. The brutal killing that happens in the Cove every year is about greed and greed alone.

The Cove Guardians have arrived in Taiji and are there to stay until the killing stops! Read their first report of the season, and find out what you can do to help us save the dolphins.

New season, same horror

It has started again in Taiji: the murder, slaughter of small cetaceans, one of the most immoral and ruthless acts on animals in modern human history.

The first killings took place yesterday... pilot whales...

I hereby declare my support and my sincere sympathy to the cove guardians and members of SSCS that stand up and try to bring an end to it.

I'm with you on this,
